Use. Reuse. Recycle.
Extending the lifetime of a garment is the most effective way to maximize its use and minimize its ecological footprint.
To spare our garments the fate of being turned to waste, we introduced the 360° Initiative. While our circular journey is just getting started, we can already now offer you the 360° Return Program.
We follow a design philosophy of making clothes that are made to be loved, used and reused and eventually recycled. Our choice of natural materials is suitable for fibre-to-fibre recycling.
In particular, we refrain from synthetic blended fabrics and yarns.
Taking proper care of your favorite garments is an essential part of extending their lifetime. We want to support you in how to wash, store and repair our pieces.
We value materials and resources. Once your PRERI garment reaches the end of its life, simply return it to us and get rewarded.
FAQs
No. As of now, our 360° Initiative is brand-specific, which means you can currently only return PRERI products.
This is due to the fact that unclear material composition and mixed-in, hidden synthetics remain a massive challenge to current recycling technologies. Only with our own products can we really know what's in them.
Currently, the program is only available for customers located Switzerland and Liechtenstein.
Once your used PRERI garment arrives at our facilitiy, it will be processed and you will receive a reward voucher to your email inbox within 48 hours. More here.
Any condition of product qualifies. Please, make sure that the garment is clean and free of odours.
Currently, less than 1 % of all used clothing items are turned back into new clothes. Every year mountains of clothes are thrown into landfills or burned. As a result, valuable resources are being wasted. This is a massive burden on the environment and is costing us billions.
Meanwhile polyester is the most widely used material in clothing (polyester is fancy word for plastic). Due to the great popularity of synthetic materials, especially in Fast Fashion, the fashion industry is one of the major contributors of plastic microfibres entering our water.
To solve these problems, the fashion industry must reinvent itself.
There is more than enough room for improvement. And that's exactly where we are starting. Our focus is ambitous continuous improvement. We want our garments to be of great quality so that they bring joy for a long time, focus on safe and renewable materials and give clothing items a second chance once they are no longer being used.
We currently work with GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard) certified organic cotton, wool and silk. Learn more about our materials here.
In a Nutshell
